Teaching pirates handwriting
Use a ship illustration to locate deck, mast, sail and anchor. Read the matching glossary entries and model one name at a time. After the three writing strips, ask pupils to label the ship or explain what an object is used for. Distinguish the imaginative treasure-story setting from a factual account of a particular historical voyage.
