These free division worksheets give you 20 Word documents on US Letter and A4: division facts to 10 x 10 and 12 x 12, missing number division, and long division with and without remainders, each in colour and in black and white. Every template is human-made by a teacher: I’m Patrick Elliott, a teacher and Inclusion Lead, and I designed and built each one myself in Microsoft Word, then printed and measured them to check the sizes on the label.

What Are Division Worksheets?
Division worksheets give children focused practice with sharing and grouping. Fact sheets build quick recall of the division facts that go with each times table, and long division sheets practise the written method step by step, with space to show the working.
Which Division Worksheet Should You Use?
- Division facts to 10 x 10: 30 facts using the 2 to 10 times tables, for children learning division facts.
- Division facts to 12 x 12: 30 facts using the 2 to 12 times tables, as UK schools expect by the end of Year 4.
- Missing number division: find the missing dividend or divisor, to show how division and multiplication are linked.
- Long division with no remainders: 12 problems that divide exactly, with space under each one to work it out.
- Long division with remainders: 12 problems with a remainder, written R 3 on the US Letter files and r 3 on the A4 files.
- Answer pages: every worksheet has a second page with all the answers.
- Black and white versions: every template also comes in a printer-friendly black and white version with grey headings, to save ink.
How to Use the Division Worksheets
- Choose the worksheet that matches what the child is learning.
- Print the first page, and keep the answer page for marking.
- For fact sheets, ask the child to write their time taken and score, then try again another day to beat it.
- To make a new version, click any number in Word, change it, and update the answer page to match.
Secure the times tables first: every division fact is a times table fact read backwards. For long division, say the steps aloud: divide, multiply, subtract, bring down. Use the work space under each problem so mistakes are easy to spot.
How to Print at the Right Size
- Open the template in Word and press Ctrl + P (Cmd + P on a Mac).
- Choose the paper size in the file name: A4 for UK and Australian sheets, US Letter for US sheets.
- Set scaling to 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page.
- Print one sheet and measure a row with a ruler before you print a class set.
Every sheet keeps a 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) margin on all sides, so nothing is cut off on home inkjets, school laser printers or older printers with a wide edge.
